Chances Of MBA in Canada (Discussion)

i will b having 50% mrks by 2010 when i will complete my B.E. in Chemical Engineering i want to pursue MBA in canada after my completion of degree in july 2010. i will b giving GMAT after 3 months. What are my prospects with low marks and no work experience of getting into univ. Can u suggest some univ where i can find place??

    Unfortunately, your prospects will be quite low. Most universities require a GPA of at least 3.0/4.0, and 50% wouldn’t cut it. As well, they require at least 2 years of work experience in most cases, and without that you’re highly unlikely to get into a good school even if you get a high GMAT score.

    I would advise you to try and get some good work experience that will make up for your low marks. Getting an MBA without any experience from a bad school isn’t going to help your career a whole lot. Another good option would be a short business certificate program from a good college- you may not need experience or high marks, but it’ll make it easier for you to find a job or get an MBA later. Check for various business programs on our school finder.

    Usually the requirement is 50% only. And for GMAT make sure u get atleast 550 because thats the minimum requirement in universities. I would suggest you to decide which part of canada u want to go and then look for universities there. And contact the academic advisors. they are the best people to help. Usually the basic requirement for MBA is 4-year degree with 50% marks, GMAT with min 550.

    hye me nw doing bcom in second year… and my future plan is to b settle or doing mba in canada basically in toronto , so how much aggregate % is rqquired to get admission in the best university.. whose scope is favourable whne we pass out and got gud job plz send me reply
