university for MS in ottawa (Discussion)

hello, i jst joined this community n need help in knowing abt the universities in ottawa for MS in computer Science. I want to apply for January session. Presently i m in last sem of my B.tech, n expect my degree aggregate above 75%. i have heard abt two universities in ottawa, U of Ottawa and Carleton universities. but i dont knw anythng abt there reputation. So i need ur views abt them so tht i can deciede which one will b better for Masters of Computer Science. Also let me knw if there is any other university ovr there better than these. Kindly share ur precious views. thanx.

    u of ottawa is top university where as the carleton is an above average university but,carleton provide funding if u apply before the dead line.whereas u of ottawa is a place where all skilled high profile students will be there.so decide on which u to apply depending on ur academic profile

    thnx a lot fr ur infrmation, although i m more intersted in u of ottawa bt sm whr i read tht u of ottawa is good in law n medicine subjects whr as carleton is good in engineering subjects, thts y hving confusions. is it so?

    Dear techno88,

    As far as my knowledge goes even in engineering subjects univ of Ottawa is ranked higher than Carleton. Anyway, I suggest you to find out the research being done by the professors in both the universities based upon which you can choose the university. Also, once you join one of these universities you can attend classes in the other university as both these universities have a tie up.
