Many great people have studied in Canada and became Great Canadians.

Who’s the greatest Canadian inspiring you? Is it hockey legend Wayne Gretzky? Is it the famous PM Pierre Trudeau? How about the inventor of insulin, Sir Frederick Banting? Or the athlete activist Terry Fox?

    Herbert Marshall McLuhan, FTW! He was clearly ahead of his time in Media Studies and Communication.

    How about Joe Shuster? Without this Toronto Jew (originally anyway), we wouldn’t have Superman, and without Superman, who would save the world from Lex Luther?

    Honestly though, I think Sir Frederick Banting is a very great Canadian. He used unconventional experiments to discover insulin and help countless diabetics around the world. He also received a military cross for courage under fire (he was part of the Med Crops during WWI), which is also great. And hey, he studied medicine at U of T, and taught part time at Western. Cool.
