Click here to find out what career colleges are! And here to find out what kind of jobs you can get!
Here are the top reasons why you should think about a career college:
1. Earn more money!
|
It's a rich man's world! There's no doubt, money is important. So here's the good news- career colleges are significantly less expensive than regular college programs. How much? Well, an average college program can cost over $33,000 US in total in tuition full-program alone. Career college programs cost in total between 10,000 - 20,000 on average. That's a very significant jump! If you're tight on money but still wish to have the education and skills to get a good job, career colleges may be the way to go. |
2. Save a full year!
|
Time is another major advantage career college programs have
over regular ones. While regular programs last between 3-5
years, career college programs are usually a lot shorter, 2
years on average and sometimes less. This means not only do you pay less, you also stay in school for less time, and so you're able to get into the workforce faster and earn money right away. Time is a big factor for a lot of career college students. |
|
3. Get practical, industry-relevant training!
|
Career colleges focus on training rather than education. This
means that all of the courses you'll take will be directly
related to the work you'll be doing when you graduate. You won't waste time and effort on things you don't want to learn. As well, career colleges tend to have ties with industries and companies, so they can help prepare you for the workforce in the best ways possible. |
4. Join other motivated, satisfied students!
|
Career college students have higher rates of program
completion and graduation than regular programs. This means
that more students who enroll in career colleges get to
finish their program than those who go to regular
universities. And satisfaction rates are also higher- almost 80% of career college students in Canada are satisfied or even very satisfied with their program. Career colleges produce smarter, happier graduates. |
|
5. Studying further is easy!
|
Most career college grads plan on going to work with over 86% of them confident of being able to find work in a field related to their studies. Only around 10% of career college students plan to go to school and obtain university or college degree, as oppose of 40% of regular program graduates who go on to additional studies. This means that career colleges will prepare you for joining the workforce. They do that by providing programs in growing fields and focusing on career-relevant training. |
Career Colleges do all that and more!
If you're looking for a short, less expensive form of education that will get you the training you need to get a great job, a career college may be right for you.
