Hi there Abhinav,
I'm glad to hear that you're interested in studying abroad! The Engineering programs are quite popular amongst International students in Canada.
Seeing that you're educational background resides in Biotechnology Engineering, are you certain you want to do a Master's in varying disciplines?
In the meantime, I suggest you read over Applying for an Engineering Program in Canada. Here, you'll be able to research the different kinds of Engineering fields and be prompted to schools that offer the studies.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.
Thanks!
I have just completed my P.U schooling and now I wanted to know
if there are any short term courses say 8-10 months………preferably
Winnipeg. My Aunts and some of my Cousins are citizens of
Canada.Could that help?
I'm really desperate to go there for my studies and get into a
job.
Hi Drian,
I do believe that having relatives in Canada will aid you in your
Visa process. If you're looking for short-term courses, your best
bet is probably a program at a college. For colleges in the
Winnipeg area, some possibilities are Red
River College, Herzig College. You
could also possibly take some courses at the
University of Manitoba.
I wish you the best of luck and if you have any additional
questions please feel free to ask.
hi!! im doing my 12th and will complete it by next year! i am planning to go to canada and study!! im doing commerce here in india! but i want to transfer and do something in computer!! in major!! can you suggest me some good programs which have a good scope? thanks!
Hey sweeet_joanne,
The University of Waterloo has some great programs in computer
science. There's also Saint Mary's
University in Nova Scotia and Mount Allison
University in New Brunswick. Check out those links to find out
more information - you can even find the perfect program for you by
filling out the form in the blue box. Good luck! Please let me know
if you have any further questions.
Hi Jessie_Monteiro123!
Thanks for clarifying that you're the same user. Here are some
possible choices for you located within Briths Columbia:
University of British Columbia (UBC)
- this university ranks among the top three computer science
departments in Canada. You can even combine your CS major with
Business.
Simon
Fraser University is another university choice you may want to
consider.
If you're looking more for colleges, then I would suggest:
Vancouver Community College - They claim to be British
Columbia's "Number 1 College". These programs appear to be geared
towards more applied and career-oriented studies.
Douglas College - they offer a whole bunch of courses and
programs.
Hope I was of some service to you. If you have any more questions,
please let me know. It was great hearing from you.
thanks!! can you also tell me the career opportunities through computer science???!!
plz help me also………………
can u plz tell the scope of environment engg and biotech in Canada?
Hi Abhinav,
Seeing that you're raising your initial question again, could you please clarify what you mean by "the scope"? Specifically, are your requesting information on schools that offer a Master's program? Or are you interested in career opportunities perhaps?
In the meantime, I encourage you to refer to LearnHub's School Finder tool to locate a university or college in Canada that meets your educational match.
Once you clearly articulate the kind of information you're looking for, I'll be able to redirect you to material that will be helpful to you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!

Hi MayMay,
oh sorry for that. Scope means demand of that field in market relating to job opportunities. So please throw some light on environment engg and biotech fields. especially i am interested in environment.
Thanks
abhinav
Hi there Abhinav,
Thanks for explaining scope to me.
In regards to job opportunities, Canada’s economy is made up of a broad range of industry sectors. Many of these are represented by sector councils - national organizations focused on promoting their industries and ensuring their long-term viability.
The environment industry is one with significant growth projections well into the 21st century. Environmental companies work to: prevent, control and re-mediate increasingly complex environmental problems; reduce human health risks and ecological damage; and improve energy, material and resource efficiencies. In 2001, the domestic environment market was valued at over $25 billion, roughly 2.2% of Canadian gross domestic product.
Aquaculture is the cultivation and farming of fin-fish, shellfish and aquatic plants. In Canada, aquaculture can be found from coast to coast. Canada’s aquaculture industry is environmentally and economically sustainable, and a net contributor to the economy. Hence, there will be a demanding need for workers in this field.
I hope this answers your question. If you have nay more questions, feel free to ask me.
Thanks!
Hi MayMay,
thanks for replying. and more question should i go for Environment Engg (Ms program) of University of Alberta. Is it good (job opportunities) ? what is the avg annual salary of Environment engg and are there plenty of jobs in this field?
Thanks
Hi Abhinav,
Recently, there has been a trend among students and employees to move Western Canada. Specifically, Edmonton has been attracting many within the Engineering field.
The University of Alberta is quite a reputable school and I say with confidence that you are making a great selection in choosing a university.
If you'd like more information on the province of Alberta, please refer to this lesson by Shouldice entitled, Alberta Advantage. The user currently teaches in Edmonton. Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with the user.
In terms of earnings, the annual average salary for Environmental Engineers is $66,480.
I hope that helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.
Thanks!

Dear sweetpheebs,
Doing an MBA in Canada is definitely a very good choice. For admission into the the B-Schools of Canada you need to take GMAT and TOEFL. Some B-Schools accept IELTS score also. The average Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score required by MBA schools in Canada is 550, ranging from a low of 500 to a high of over 600. The average GMAT score attained by MBA students, however, is 606.
A proportional relationship appears to exist between a school's supposed place on the hierarchy of business education and its average GMAT score. That is, schools higher up on the hierarchy tend to have higher scores. For example, students at the traditionally elite business schools of Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, Queen's University, and Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario have, on average, a GMAT score of 654 ranging from 642 to 661.
Also, most of the B-Schools in Canada require work experience of at least 2 years.
Hi, I have done B.Sc with 43.8%. Is it possible to get into
MBA in CANADA
with this percentage in reputed universities? please guide.
what if i work for 1 year and then apply.
Hi,
If you are applying to any university abroad then the university will look into your overall profile. The university will not give you admission or rejection only on the basis of your academics but yes, if some university has its minimum requirement that the student should have first division or….% then you have to check that before applying.
We have two of our featured universities in Canada 1)Georgian College,2)University of Canada West.
To know more about these universities you can get in touch with us on +919818566611
Hi bluenest, You should try for admission in University of Canada west. They are based in Vancouver and offers a very good MBA program. You can get in touch with me directly at amit.wadhwa@learnhub.com

I want to study in Columbia College(Vancouver) as Liberal Arts(DIPLOMA) student. Is there a good scope of Liberal arts from job point of view? And, How many chances i have to get VISA,(once my visa get rejected)? I have 1 and half year study gap after completing 12th(ARTS)?
Hello,
The term liberal arts denotes a curriculum that imparts general knowledge and develops the student’s rational thought and intellectual capabilities, unlike the professional, vocational and technical curricula emphasizing specialization.
Columbia College is a liberal arts college providing first and second year university transfer courses, Associate Degrees in Arts and Science, a university preparatory foundations program conforming to British Columbia Ministry of Education guidelines, and excellent intensive English language instruction in the English Language Centre.
Most universities have a college of liberal arts and sciences that offer a wide range of degrees, from English to engineering and offer students a chance to obtain a degree while taking a wide variety of courses.
You will develop strength of mind and an ordered intellect since Many subjects help the student to develop an ordered mind, and each subject contributes in a slightly different way. The diverse body of knowledge you will gain from a liberal arts education, together with the tools of examination and analysis that you will learn to use, will enable you to develop your own opinions, attitudes, values, and beliefs, based not upon the authority of parents, peers, or professors, and not upon ignorance, whim, or prejudice, but upon your own worthy apprehension, examination, and evaluation of argument and evidence.
While a liberal arts education may not teach you how to take out an appendix or sue your neighbor, it will teach you how to think, which is to say, it will teach you how to live. And this benefit alone makes such an education more practical and useful than any job-specific training ever could.
I hope this helps!
Take care!
