    Hello Kartik,

Though education in Canada is largely publicly funded and education is a provincial responsibility in Canada, the quality of education is uniform throughout the country and one need not stress about the quality of the same and reputation or ranking of the university/department, some universities like the McGill University, Carleton University stand out for the Computer Science program.

However, while most of the applicants begin the short listing based on the ranking, a more practical approach would be to assess the eligibility criteria and the admission requirements against your profile.

A sound score on the GRE, impressive statement of purpose and supportive reference letters can further enhance your profile. Go through the program structure and try and assess with your academic background and future goals.

Also, the stated financial budget will not be sufficient to consider higher education in Canada. While you can consider financial aid, relying much on the same is not advisable since they are extremely competitive and do not cover much expenses. I would recommend you consider education and student loans or approach financing sectors like the Credila for financial support.

The bottom line is plan out the finances before you actually reach the place!

    Good luck!
